My name is Jeff Kinney and it is an honor and privilege to serve as principal at West Brazos Junior High. I have a passion for working with and educating children and feel very grateful for the opportunity to serve in this role. I earned a Bachelor's degree in Education from the University of Northern Iowa and I also earned a Master's Degree in Educational Administration. I have 12 years of experience teaching fifth through eighth grade in all content areas. Additionally, I have 8 years of experience serving as an assistant principal and principal at the junior high level. This will be my fourth year serving at the proud principal of West Brazos Junior High. I am truly honored to be part of such a caring, compassionate, and dedicated school family.

I would like to welcome everyone to West Brazos Junior High. Our mission is to create a learning community that educates all students in a safe and respectful environment while fostering and celebrating success. I believe that it takes a village to raise a child and I strive to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other community members to provide the best for every one of our students.

As your principal, I promise to provide strong instructional leadership that focuses on student achievement, provide a safe and respectful learning environment, and to utilize a shared decision-making and team-based approach to student learning.
